Overview
GrowthSavvy Digital, a Lagos-based but globally operating performance marketing agency, is seeking a talented Remote SEO Specialist.
Founded in 2019, GrowthSavvy has helped over 150 companies—including EcoBank Nigeria, FoodMart Online, EduWorld Africa, and TravelNest Holidays—grow their online presence and dominate search rankings. With a team of data-driven digital marketers and creative strategists, the company is expanding its SEO department to support more clients across Africa, Europe, and North America.
The SEO Specialist will play a central role in developing, implementing, and monitoring effective SEO strategies that drive traffic, improve rankings, and increase conversions. This position is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, a passion for digital marketing, and the ability to work independently in a fully remote setup.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct keyword research using tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Google Keyword Planner.

Develop and execute both on-page and off-page SEO strategies.

Optimize website content, meta tags, and headings for search visibility.

Perform technical SEO audits and recommend improvements.

Build high-quality backlinks through outreach, guest posting, and collaborations.

Monitor, analyze, and report on website performance using Google Analytics and Search Console.

Collaborate with content writers to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into content.

Stay up-to-date with search engine algorithm updates and industry best practices.

Conduct competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities.

Assist in improving local SEO for clients targeting specific regions.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, IT, Communications, or related field.

2–4 years of proven SEO experience (agency or in-house).

Strong understanding of Google algorithms, ranking factors, and technical SEO.

Proficiency in SEO tools: SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Screaming Frog.

Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript is a plus.

Experience with WordPress, Shopify, or other CMS platforms.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication skills and the ability to explain SEO concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
