Role Overview

The Remote Data Analyst will work with complex datasets, apply statistical methods, and generate reports that support client decision-making. You will collaborate with researchers, project managers, and clients to turn numbers into stories — helping organizations understand their challenges and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Collect, clean, and process datasets from surveys, studies, and client databases.
Perform statistical analyses using tools like SPSS, R, Python, or Excel.
Create data visualizations (charts, dashboards, infographics) to present findings.
Support research teams in designing methodologies and sampling strategies.
Develop predictive models to forecast trends and outcomes.
Prepare reports and presentations for internal and client use.
Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security at all stages of analysis.
Monitor emerging data analytics tools and recommend improvements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Economics, or related discipline.
2–4 years of experience as a data analyst, preferably in research, consulting, or corporate environments.
Proficiency in data analysis tools: SPSS, R, Python (pandas, NumPy, matplotlib), SQL, and Excel.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects remotely.
Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.

Desirable Attributes

Knowledge of machine learning techniques for predictive modeling.
Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
Familiarity with survey tools like Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, or KoboToolbox.
Strong understanding of applied research and policy analysis.
