Job Overview

As a Content Moderator, your job is to review user-submitted content such as posts, profile pictures, comments, and chat room discussions. Your role ensures that all interactions comply with ChatSquare’s community guidelines.

You’ll receive flagged content reports and review them according to a predefined set of rules — deciding whether to delete, warn the user, or escalate to a senior moderator. No tech experience is needed — just fast decision-making, a good understanding of Nigerian slang, and awareness of internet ethics.

This role is ideal for:

Daily Responsibilities

Here’s what a typical shift looks like as an online content moderator:

  • Monitor trending rooms and hashtags

    • Detect and flag political propaganda or religious fights

    • Keep trending content clean and respectful

  • Respond to user reports

    • Act within 30 minutes of a report

  • Document your moderation actions

    • Use Google Sheets to track removed content

  • Escalate difficult content
