Are you a people-person with a passion for hospitality and customer service? Hotel Capitol, a stylish and contemporary three-star hotel in Lagos, is seeking a smart, professional, and organized individual to join our team as a Hotel Receptionist.

Located in the serene neighborhood of Omole Phase 1, Ojodu-Ikeja, Hotel Capitol is known for blending luxury and comfort. With 32 tastefully designed rooms — ranging from deluxe executive to luxury suites — we offer an exceptional guest experience, and we’re looking for someone like you to help us deliver it.

About the Role

As the front desk representative, you will be the first and last impression for every guest who walks through our doors. Your role is key to creating a warm and professional welcome, managing reservations, handling guest inquiries, and ensuring smooth daily operations at the front office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests with professionalism and warmth during check-in and check-out

  • Handle all reservations (phone, email, and walk-ins) efficiently using the hotel’s booking system

  • Provide accurate information about room availability, rates, hotel amenities, local attractions, and transportation

  • Manage guest complaints, requests, and feedback with courtesy and urgency

  • Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences

  • Receive and process payments via POS, cash, or card while ensuring accuracy in billing

  • Maintain guest records, log book entries, and security check-ins

  • Keep the reception area tidy, organized, and inviting at all times

  • Perform general administrative duties such as data entry, filing, and daily reports

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications:

  • OND or HND in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related fields

Experience:

  • 2 – 3 years of front desk or customer service experience, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficiency in hotel management software is a strong advantage

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent multitasking and organizational abilities

  • Presentable appearance and a professional attitude

  • Calm under pressure and solution-oriented

  • Good knowledge of Lagos city routes and attractions is a plus
