Job Overview
We are seeking a graduate-level Operational Technology (OT) Specialist who is eager to take on technical challenges in a manufacturing and industrial setting. The successful candidate will manage critical OT infrastructure, including industrial control systems (ICS), network equipment, and cybersecurity for physical assets like CCTV, PLCs, SCADA, and more.
This role is perfect for someone with hands-on experience and a desire to work at the intersection of IT and OT systems in a high-performance environment.
Key Responsibilities
Network & Infrastructure Management
-
Set up and maintain OT network systems using Cisco Catalyst and IE series switches, routers, and firewalls

Implement Layer 2/3 networking protocols, VLANs, ACLs, and segmentation

Monitor OT network performance, troubleshoot issues, and lead incident resolution
Physical Security & Layer 0 Controls
-
Manage CCTV cameras, badge access systems, alarms, interlocks, and other physical safety controls
-
Ensure secure integration between physical systems and OT/ICS environments
OT Protocols & Equipment Communication
-
Configure and support communication among devices like PLCs, RTUs, HMIs, SCADA/DCS
-
Work with industrial protocols such as Modbus, OPC UA, BACnet, DNP3, Ethernet/IP, Profibus, etc.

Diagnose issues and optimize data flows for performance and reliability
Server & Virtual Environment Management

Deploy and manage OT servers on Windows and Linux platforms
-
Administer virtualized environments using VMware vSphere/ESXi
-
Perform routine data backups, restore operations, and disaster recovery planning
Cybersecurity & Compliance
-
Implement security controls in line with IEC 62443, NIST 800-82, and company IT standards

Support network segmentation, secure remote access, and endpoint protection

Collaborate with cybersecurity teams for threat mitigation and compliance
Documentation & Reporting

Maintain up-to-date documentation on systems, configurations, changes, and logs

Report system health, performance, and risk assessments regularly to stakeholders
Minimum Qualifications & Skills
Educational Background:
-
Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Industry certifications in OT, networking, or cybersecurity are a strong plus
Professional Experience:
-
3 to 5 years’ experience in industrial systems administration, network engineering, or OT/ICS environments
-
Previous experience in manufacturing, utilities, oil & gas, or energy sectors is highly desirable
Technical Skills:

Proficient with Cisco switch configuration (Catalyst 9000, IE series)

Hands-on knowledge of industrial control systems and protocols

Experience with VMware, Windows Server, Linux OS, and SCADA platforms (e.g., WinCC, Wonderware, iFIX)
Preferred Certifications:

Cisco: CCNA / CCNP (Industrial or Enterprise)

Cybersecurity: GICSP, CompTIA Security+, or ISA/IEC 62443

Virtualization: VMware Certified Professional (VCP)
